
Fatuma is a committed and dedicated individual with considerable experience working within community-based settings. Fatuma recently graduated with honors from Humber College with a Postgraduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences. Fatuma currently works for social housing and a homeless shelter where she provides client-centred and culturally relevant service to clients. Her work experience has entailed working with children, youth, seniors, and men from socially, economically and marginalized communities.
In the past, Fatuma has supported women with mental health, substance abuse, and problem gambling in a volunteer capacity and started volunteering with CUCUM in 2016. Fatuma is especially dedicated to her role because leadership in Islam dictates trustworthiness and accountability to both mankind and Allah. Fatuma enjoys serving her community and aspires to see CUCUM transition into a community hub for all Canadians.
